About the Talent Acquisition test

The Talent Acquisition test evaluates a candidate’s ability to manage and execute the entire recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to making the final hire. The test covers essential areas such as sourcing strategies, candidate screening, interviewing techniques, and hiring best practices.

A significant focus of the test is sourcing, where candidates must demonstrate expertise in various techniques like passive recruitment, social media sourcing, job boards, employee referrals, and recruitment agencies. Knowledge of using platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and others to find top talent is critical. Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to craft compelling job descriptions that attract high-quality candidates and their skill in assessing candidates’ skills and experiences that align with the organization’s needs.

The test also covers candidate screening. Candidates should show proficiency in reviewing resumes and application forms, conducting initial phone screenings, and determining which candidates should move forward in the hiring process. Effective interview techniques, including structured, unstructured, and behavioral interviewing methods, are also evaluated. Candidates must understand how to assess both cultural fit and technical skills, and how to ask insightful questions that reveal a candidate’s past experiences and suitability for the role.

Creating positive candidate experiences is another important focus, with candidates expected to demonstrate best practices in maintaining clear and timely communication, managing candidate expectations, and ensuring a smooth hiring process. Employer branding is also covered, with candidates showing how to build a strong brand to attract talent and leverage internal and external resources to enhance the employer’s reputation in the job market.

The test emphasizes the importance of diversity and inclusion in recruitment. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of best practices for eliminating bias and promoting equality throughout the hiring process.
