Oracle Database test

The Oracle Database test assesses a candidate's expertise in managing and working with Oracle databases, focusing on key database management concepts, SQL querying, and database administration. The test evaluates understanding of relational database structures, including tables, views, indexes, and constraints, as well as knowledge of normalization and denormalization techniques.

Candidates will be tested on their SQL querying abilities, covering complex SELECT statements, subqueries, joins, and the use of aggregate functions and groupings. Performance tuning and optimization are critical focus areas, with emphasis on indexing strategies, query optimization, and methods to enhance database performance.

Database security is another key area, with questions regarding user privileges, roles, and data encryption. The test also assesses candidates' ability to manage backup and recovery tasks using tools like RMAN (Recovery Manager) and Data Pump, ensuring database integrity.

Additionally, candidates should demonstrate familiarity with Oracle's architecture, including memory and storage structures, and their ability to perform database administration tasks such as creating and managing database instances, handling schema objects, and performing upgrades and patching.

The test challenges candidates with real-world problem-solving scenarios, including troubleshooting connectivity issues, performance problems, and locking conflicts. Knowledge of high availability, clustering, and replication within Oracle databases is also evaluated.
